The Brand Trust Report, India Study, 2015 was announced on February 24, 2015. The report ranks the brands in India on consumer trust. The top 10 brands, according to this study, are:

1. LG
2. Samsung Mobiles
3. Sony
4. Tata
5. Nokia
6. Bajaj
7. Honda
8. Dell
9. Godrej
10. Hewlett & Packard

The research was conducted by TRA (formerly Trust Research Advisory), a part of the Comniscient Group; TRA is a Brand Intelligence and Data Insights Company dedicated to understand and analyse stakeholder behavior through two proprietary matrices of Brand Trust and Brand Attractiveness.

Brand Trust is based on the Brand Trust Matrix which consists of three basic foundations, each of which is further divided into attributes. Each foundation is a means of building a brand’s trust in the minds of the consumers, by measuring the various scores on each attribute. Once that is done, an overall score is calculated, compared and analysed on the Brand Trust Index.

The three foundations of the Brand Trust Matrix are:
Building capacity to trust
Creating perception of positive intent
Demonstrating relevant competence
